Photo quote guide
What Photos to Send for a Handyman Quote
A clear photo set helps JD Property Services quote small repairs faster across Queens and Nassau County.
Quote prep
Good photos reduce guessing
A repair photo should show both the problem and the surrounding context. Close-ups show damage. Wider photos show access, material, wall, ceiling, floor, cabinet, or door conditions.
Close-up photo
Show the damaged area, fixture, latch, caulk gap, hole, trim issue, or part that needs repair.
Wide photo
Step back and show the whole wall, room, door, cabinet, sink, tub, or access area.
Measurement photo
If size matters, include a tape measure or note approximate dimensions.
Material detail
Show paint color, trim profile, fixture model, hardware type, tile, or surface material if relevant.
Access notes
Mention parking, stairs, elevator, tenant coordination, building rules, pets, and available time windows.
Priority list
Put urgent, water, door, safety, move-out, showing, or tenant items first.
Best format
Send the whole repair list at once
A single grouped request is easier to quote than scattered messages. List each repair, attach photos, and identify the town or Queens neighborhood.
If you are unsure whether an item fits, include it anyway and mark it as optional.
Photo quote FAQs
Can I get a quote from photos?
Often, yes. Clear photos, location, access notes, and a repair list help scope many small handyman jobs.
How many photos should I send?
Send at least one close-up and one wide photo for each repair area when practical.
Should I send videos?
Photos are usually best for quoting. A short video can help for moving parts, doors, leaks, or intermittent issues.
